Staithes Gallery Delights again.

Staithes Gallery, North Yorkshire are once again featuring an exciting exhibition, this time the work of Paul and Chris Czainski.

Paul's highly-skilled, often a little off-beat artworks, deliver a gently surrealist twist to the absolute mastery of his craft that he demonstrates over and over again in deceptively real paintings on both traditional and quirky post-modern themes.

Chris's work uses beach finds and scavenged materials to create images that are quite wonderful - in the sense that they stimulate wonder: wonder about the images themselves, but also about the materials used to make them.

Rockpool dipping at Runswick, North Yorkshire.

We have just returned from Runswick Bay on the North Yorkshire coast where we have been dipping our noses into rock pools with the lovely people at the North York Moors National Park Authority.

I am not sure if they appreciated all of our input but we had a brilliant afternoon splashing around with the children in search of crabs, star fish and sea monsters.

Lily has returned with a sore nose after getting a little too close to a small crab…………..
